It was four years ago since I visited the Lake Kournas nr Georgiopolis near Chania. These photos show the development in tourism around the lake. Years ago there were few tourists visiting this beautiful lake, it was late September and the lake was teeming with tourists, geese & pedalos! Kournas Lake 4 years ago

A ray of light shines down from the mountains keeping an eye on lake Kournas. I found the same ray of light last time I visited the lake and it appeared again this time... to see more photos of this ray and the rocks at the edge of the lake click the photo
