The bar is between some of the most famous restaurants in Elounda such as the Ferryman restaurant and the Kalydon restaurants. The Mediterranean bar is owned by a Greek couple and their two children who all live in this little fishing village of Elounda Crete. They are fully prepared to give you as much help to complete the rather daunting task of buying and running a bar in Greece! Elounda has a lot of English expats who have chosen Elounda to retire in or have chosen Elounda to run a business
such as cafe bars, restaurants, supermarkets, so even if you
don't yet speak Greek, you can have some jolly good
conversations in fluent English! You have the opportunity to
learn Greek, either by sitting with the Greeks or with the aid
of Greek classes. Although you will find that most Greeks in
Elounda speak very good English!

Bar 74 is situated in the main village square of Elounda Crete and is for sale. This large bar is positioned next to the departure and arrival of the tour boats for Spinalonga and Aghios Nikolaos (Ag Nik to the locals!). Bar 74 is a well known established business, the bar offering the best cocktails in the square!
It is known as a friendly family place and
also has the opportunity to become rather
lively in the warm evenings and can easily
accommodate a large amount of clientelle.
The bar could be run all year round as it's
large enough inside to hold meetings,
drinks, snacks, bingo, quiz nights,
bazooki nights, live music evenings and
general gatherings for the expats, Greeks,
Cretans that all remain in the village for
the winter. Again this Greek family are
prepared to give you as much help to
complete the rather daunting task of
buying and running a bar in Greece!

and a recently
re-fitted kitchen,
bar and toilet.
The beautiful wooden pagoda has well established climbing plants and is adorned with a sunflower on the top that can be seen from the main road into Elounda village square

As you can see from these photos the bars on the sea front with steps down into sea and has totally uninterrupted views over boats of Elounda the island of Spinalonga and Elounda villages!

Although there are a lot of bars now in Elounda village, the Mediterranean bars unique during the summer tourist months because of it's unique position amongst the best restaurants in Elounda. There is of course the possibility to run the bar during the winter for the English expats as it is small enough to stay cosy and to keep warm! This bar has been opened during the winter months by a couple, a couple of years back and was very much a winter success as well.
If after a busy summer tourist season, you don't feel up to running the bar during the winter months, there would be the opportunity to put in a bar manager to run it for you!
